Twitter and Amazon combine to create shopping online, a lot simpler then it is by connecting the accounts together. The way that it works is "Just enable the service on your Twitter (TWTR) and Amazon (AMZN) accounts, and you can add a product discussed on Twitter by replying to the tweet and adding the hashtag #amazoncart. The next time you visit Amazon, the item will be in your cart, and you can then complete the purchase". The object of creating this way of shopping is so that it will take care of someone forgetting the purchase the item that they want that is shown on twitter. This relates to everyone that shops online, including teenagers and adults, that sees things on different websites but forgets to purchase things that they want. I feel like this is a smart thing and a much easier way of shopping, because you don't have to worry about looking up the same items from Twitter onto Amazon. I would use this to actually see if that it works better to shop instead of having to go back and forth. I feel like what will make this want people to try this out is knowing that the creators tested this out and instead did not just create something and let others be the test dummies, it showed that they took the time to make sure it is a better option then something else.

Google: Self-driving cars are mastering city streets
After working on self driving cars for three years, since (2011). Google has made some changes in self driving cars that they have created. ""A mile of city driving is much more complex than a mile of freeway driving, with hundreds of different objects moving according to different rules of the road in a small area," Chris Urmson, the head of Google's self-driving-car project, said Monday in a blog post.". once putting in the everyday driving situations that many face on the road. I feel like this is a cool technology invention that has came about, I would certainly use this in the near future if it is becoming legal in the near future. My only concern is that what all can the car do besides drive to places, also what happens if it stop working. It is said that it is better made and is made upon the driving issues "A self-driving vehicle can pay attention to all of these things in a way that a human physically can't -- and it never gets tired or distracted," Urmson wrote". I would like to try this out but I do not really like the idea of it, due to it may malfunction one day on the road.

Blood Moon will be a sight to behold during total linear eclipse
"The moon will turn to blood as it aligns with Earth and sun Then do so thrice more ere a year and a half is done, Tis not the herald of the apocalypses Just the first of four total lunar eclipses".
This is said to occur on Tuesday night, it is one of the four consecutive total eclipses. They usually come about twice a year during the time range of April 15 and September 15. What makes it so unique is that it happens through the moon passing through Earth's Shadow, creating the color of a desert sunset. This is school related but not with the classes that I am currently taking, but it relates to Earth Science and Astronomy. I liked reading this article I never knew that the moon turned this particular color, I only knew the basic of a solar eclipse. Reading this made me understand it more clearly about the process of what happens with the solar eclipse. I feel like the author wrote a article about it so more people would pay it attention on Tuesday night, because many times the changes of the moon is overlooked. Many more people will be paying attention to see how the moon changes, including me.

Wireless technology? it's here
According to Dr.Hall, himself and other scientists are working on powering things wireless.
this is called the wireless "resonance technology". The trick is putting magnetic fields in the air, the actions of this is "a coil of electrical wire that generates a magnetic field". The way that it is proven to work is "when you bring a device into a magnetic field it creates a current in the device, which creates the action of transferring power".
The central idea of this article, is to show that there are ways of charging your electronics without the wires, as well as, to show that this could possibly be the future of wireless technology at all costs. "Hall assures that the magnetic fields used to transfer energy are "perfectly safe" -- in fact, they are the same kind of fields used in Wi-Fi routers".
This particular topic does not relate to school, but it is related to science and discovering new things' I feel like this is a great idea, because it means no more wires laying around and you do not have to worry about your cell phone or anything else dying while you are traveling or even at school.
Cell phones are able to charge while they are in your pocket with a resonator coil that is placed upon the battery. I would use this to see if it works like it says, as well as, to see if it makes a difference of not having to use cords.

Fingerprint start up claims smartphone security breakthrough
Apple has made the Touch ID sensor, this invention reads your finger and tells you if the fingerprint is arch, loop or whorl. The way that it is able to do so,is "170 microns thick or a skosh more than a human hair. the button is made out of sapphire crystal".
There is another technology that came about, along with Apple's invention. IDair's Technology uses the camera on a smartphone, along with its own software to take pictures of a persons fingerprints.Process relies on "algorithm the company, which turns the image into useful means of identification.
'Advanced Optical systems developed the original technology behind the fingerprint scanner".
This is forensic science related, because how they scan your fingerprint and tells you the pattern but it does not directly to school.
I think this invention is very cool and creative, also shows how technology can become science based. This doesn't really effect me,but it interests me to try it. I think this new technology is really cool and I think that it will become a hit.

Prototype washing machine orders detergent online
Berg has created, a internet based washing machine, you are able to program wash settings right from your smartphone, you no longer have to worry about your clothes, shrinking or clothes losing their color.
"Here's another addition to the internet of things: London-based design firm Berg has created Cloudwash, a prototype cloud-connected laundry machine with a minimalist, customizable user interface that connects to a smartphone.

Because people typically only do laundry a few different ways, Cloudwash has three programmable presets for everyday use. More washer settings are available through a smartphone. Next to the presets is a delay toggle, with a screen showing when the load of laundry will be done".
This does not relate to school, but it is science-technology based due to discovering how to do this.
I like the sound of this, but it also seem to be a bad thing because what if your internet stop working?.
It may would try this prototype to see if it works for me but I don't really like the idea of it replacing your actual washing machine, because of the fact, that it may stop working due to not having internet.

Anonymous girl diarist from the Lodz Ghetto
A young girl from the time period late February to March 1942,She tells the story of what it is like during holocaust times living in Lodz or any other surrounding village, how food is hard to come by.
She seem to just want everything to be different, social wise and her "new" life.
" How sad life is. When we look at the fence separating us from the rest of the world, our souls, like birds in a cage, yearn to be free. Longing breaks my heart, visions of the past come to me. Will I ever live in better times?” (anonymous girl, March 7,1942)

facebook goea beyond male and female with new option
Facebook updated their gender options to more in-detail options,to users that are both or more then one thing."let's U.S users choose among 50 additional such as "transgender", "Cisgender"..."
I think this could be a good thing, because it give people the options of being who they really are and it just show how much the world has changed.
I think the writer picked to make this change into a article to get people thought about what facebook has done. Also the fact that many people will update their gender to suit them best.
Some of te negatives maybe that people will be harsh and say negative things about other people. This doesn't really bother me personally, but I feel like it is a good thing for the people that want to be comfortable with themselves.
I would like to see what people think about the changes.

texting while walking affects your balance
Scientists in Australia, studied the negatives of texting on your mobile device while walking,Well not only is it annoying,it causes problems and accidents.
They decided to do a study on 26 people doing three different type of things, one group walked while typing a sentence, while another walked while reading a sentence and the final group walked while doing nothing.
During the study, scientists found that in one area that reading/texting affected movements while walking.
People that were texting also was found to walk slower due to lack of focus unable to walk in a straight line, also moved there necks less when reading their cell phones.
This article does not relate to school, but it relates to teenagers because most often then we realize that teens walk around and text all the time, unable to pay attention to what they are doing also what is around them.
This affects me,because I do this myself when I am in a store or something with my mom,I agree with the study because I've looked at myself doing those things that was said in the article.
I've also seen other people do it and run into things because of them not being able to pay attention.
With the study that the scientist did with a group of 26 people,it just helps them in proving that texting can causes problems with balance,as well as,tell the type of things that happens while texting and walking.

Beam yourself across the world
This article is about the new technology that is coming about, which allows you to become alive in 3D in more then one place. "holographic telepresence,it involves transmitting a three-dimensional moving image of you at each destination-allowing you to converse as if you were in the room".Imagine it,you want to stay home but you have to go to school, well you can be at both places, enjoying some television, while learning during school.
This not really school relate but it is definitely something very cool that I am sure everyone would be interested in.
I would like to see if this could work, but some of the things I am worried about are what if it stops working or does not work at all,but it would be really cool and amazing to see this in person.
It could effect me because if it does work properly I would like to use this so I can be many places at one time
