According to Dr.Hall, himself and other scientists are working on powering things wireless.
this is called the wireless "resonance technology". The trick is putting magnetic fields in the air, the actions of this is "a coil of electrical wire that generates a magnetic field". The way that it is proven to work is "when you bring a device into a magnetic field it creates a current in the device, which creates the action of transferring power".
The central idea of this article, is to show that there are ways of charging your electronics without the wires, as well as, to show that this could possibly be the future of wireless technology at all costs. "Hall assures that the magnetic fields used to transfer energy are "perfectly safe" -- in fact, they are the same kind of fields used in Wi-Fi routers".
This particular topic does not relate to school, but it is related to science and discovering new things' I feel like this is a great idea, because it means no more wires laying around and you do not have to worry about your cell phone or anything else dying while you are traveling or even at school.
Cell phones are able to charge while they are in your pocket with a resonator coil that is placed upon the battery. I would use this to see if it works like it says, as well as, to see if it makes a difference of not having to use cords.
