Anonymous girl diarist from the Lodz Ghetto

A young girl from the time period late February to March 1942,She tells the story of what it is like during holocaust times living in Lodz or any other surrounding village,how food is hard to come by.
She seem to just want everything to be different,social wise and her "new" life.
 " How sad life is. When we look at the fence separating us from the rest of the world, our souls, like birds in a cage, yearn to be free. Longing breaks my heart, visions of the past come to me. Will I ever live in better times?” (anonymous girl, March 7,1942)
