Fingerprint start up claims smartphone security breakthrough

Apple has made the Touch ID sensor,this invention reads your finger and tells you if the fingerprint is arch,loop or whorl. The way that it is able to do so,is "170 microns thick or a skosh more than a human hair. the button is made out of sapphire crystal".
There is another technology that came about,along with Apple's invention. IDair's Technology uses the camera on a smartphone,along with its own software to take pictures of a persons fingerprints.Process relies on "algorithm the company,which turns the image into useful means of identification.
'Advanced Optical systems developed the original technology behind the fingerprint scanner".
This is forensic science related, because how they scan your fingerprint and tells you the pattern but it does not directly to school.
I think this invention is very cool and creative,also shows how technology can become science based. This doesn't really effect me,but it interests me to try it. I think this new technology is really cool and I think that it will become a hit.
