   I think this new tool is cool,and very creative because it makes it easier for those with that condition that has a Iphone and things like that,This will effect will me because I will tell any one hat has a Iphone or things liike that in my family

This week we learned about how many people get messed over with credit cards so the terms we used.are scams-an attempt to trick someone usually with the intention of stealing personal information andor,money,Indentify theft-a type of crime or which your private iinformation is stolen and used for criminal activity,volerable-for a position that makes it easier for you to be harmed or attacked,Phishing-when people send photos,emails,pop-up messages social network messages and rhings like that in order to teach you into givng on your password and finanial information. 

Our digital literancy was how many people lose there indentity because of stupid people thinking they can get away with it by taking there social number,name, age,banks account number and many other things. That messes up a lot of people lives and it makes them have to start all over again on there life's brand new.

I think learning about this new information is good because I can be aware of things now before like when I am online I will be more careful when I see things pop up now so when I do have a job and in the future have credit cards I will make sure to be extra careful.  


.This makes me upset because thngs like this happen to my mom when she first got a credit card and a week later someone stole her money. This makes me aware of things I buy and when i do to the store and people need my bank number and things like that.

Well learning new vocabulary this week was interesting because of the words we actually learned about we already knew but,we just have a different meaning for them.Track means when companies collect information about you based on your online behavior or actions,Target is when companies get content off your profile based on the information you look up,Demographic is common categories of a population such as gender,race and or eye color,and finally cookies means data files that companies keep folders of what you  use. 

We used a new tool called Mixbook this tool is like a auto book on the internet you can put photo's,things about life on it and make a graphic book about anything from family reuions to wedding's.

A positive thing about using Mixbook is that you can make a graphic book online about anything with family the negatitive part about this it is very diffcult to use,everytime you add pictures you would have to save all of them or keep exiting out and logging into it again. overall it is a good thing to use if you want to be creative with things.You just have to be tech smart.  

Our digitlal literancy this week was how to act online when pop-up's and spam comes up,also how to act when giving personal information away even to something that is good. When you are online and all of a sudden things pop up about what you may be trying to search that is companies trying to get your attention and your personal information. 

Ways to avoid being scammed online and get your personal information taken is to watch scam's and be very careful when doing things online,also watch when you are buying things online.Keep your password private and do not give it to anyone not even your bestfriends. 

This effect me personality because I will be more careful about giving my things away like email and other important things. I will also watch out for pop-ups instead of just clicking random things.

This week has been good and we finally have got into our building, also next week will be our first full week and we have spirit week what could be better.

The company wireless charging has made headlines in the padt couple weeks. A  new tool has set them off the charts in the UK called the Qualcomm halo. They are targeting the things that live in your garage on a day to day rather living in your pockets. As google is coming out with the new nexus 4 and the Nokia's lumia 420. They are seeing the future of electic and hybrid urband cars being wire-free.


I think this would be a cool new inventon of the future just think cars you would not have to put gas in and all you have to do is charge them. It makes me want to buy a car like that so I would not have to wait money on gas and wont hae to worry about hte gas prices going up.

This will take over the world because everyone will be wanting to buy one becuase of the gas prices beiing the way they are. It would soon probably take over and many people will either love them or hate them depends if you want to save money or not... I think people woiuld want to save money.

• A designer by the name of Dean Roosegaarde was siting in his car one day looking at the road wondering why they spend so much money on the roads, yet they do not care what they look like.That is when he started imaging route 66 of the future of technology where the roads jump out at you. He created a smart road design that features glow in the dark tarmac and illuminated weather indicators will be in the Netherlands in the mid 2013 

       I think this new technique that was discovered is cool and looks amazingly like some sort of game as you are driving.It makes me want to go to Netherlands just to see what is looks like and how it would feel to be riding or driving on a road like that.

     I think some more scientists will be trying to make our roads look like that in the united states. Many people will also began to question why we are spending so much money on our roads, yet we do not care what they look like.

Some new terms we learned this week is Represent which means how you present yourself online to others or in other words how you label yourself, Anonymous which means unknown or a hidden person, Inhibited  means someone that is careful and restrain in your reaction, Persona means reputation,personality or a image or a personality you show to others.Lastly Avatar which means a graphic  image to represent yourself online.  

This week we used a new tool called Glogster, which is a website where you can make a poster board about anything.Whether it is for school or just to post on Facebook and  things like that. Other things you can do on Glogster is add pictures and video's, add things like a virtual board of anything you may like. glogster

I like this tool,we used to do this all the time in middle school and it is fun you can make anything out of it and it works. One negative thing I would say about glogster is that sometimes it becomes a little hard if it is your first time messing around with it. Once you do it a while it all seems to fall into place. 

Our digital literacy this week was learning how to act online and be real instead of fake and how to also see if other people are being fake as well.Most people when they are using an avatar they do not make the cartoon realistic to what they look like  in life but they go the opposite direction completely and make a fictional cartoon of what they want to look like in life. 

They also do not act the same they try to be totally different than what they really are because they think being unreal will get them more friends and free stuff especially on the game sites. 

I think people that act fake online are crazy because if you want someone to respect you, need to be real and honest about things like that. This will effect me because I  will be more cautious online when talking to people I may have or may have not met. I will also monitor things like that when they come up or anything. 

Overall this week has been okay could be better, finally know when we are moving into the building and I can not wait to find out what everything look's like. We watched Cyberbullying the movie I think that was a really good movie and it made me think about what i say  online to people I may or May not like.

    Some districts things having Ipads in the classrooms will help the student better if they have better technology. but two some people think that is a bad idea and may also cost to much money but as study show it does not cost to much and it seems to be a reasonible thing to do. 

I think this is a good way for students to interact in the classrooms and it probably will be easier learning the material and things.I think i could be able to learn better if that was in some of the classrooms. it seems very easier to use.. 

It just shows that newer technology is taking over everyone and not just businesses and teenagers. Soon everyone will be doing everything online more than they are right now and we may just be driving electric cars next.

Weekly review blog

This previous week we learned some new terms like Escalate which means to make something more intense also learned the word Deescalate which means to decrease or make something less intense. Also learned the true meaning of being a bystander and an Upstander. Bystander means you are an eyewitness to something and just let it happen and does nothing about it.A upstander means someone eyewitness something and they do something about it either to help that person or people in that situation. 

This week we used a new tool called wevideo which is a website that lets you make video's about anything you want and add pictures and music onto it. We also used webcam to make our videos. 

One positive thing about using We-video is that it is cool to use and sorta fun because you can add photo's and music.One Negative thing about We-video is that it is a little difficult to use but once you just play around with it you can get the hang of it all.Using webcam is a very good positive because it is fun to use you can add graphics to the background and do neat tricks if you take the time and play around with it.  

Our digital literacy component is  Cyberbullying and how many people face it every single day. Also how most of them do not tell anyone until it gets so bad they want to end there lives. 

Now this is becoming a major problem in the (teenage world) everyone think what they put online is okay or it won't hurt anyone what they do not realize it probably hurts more on the internet than if you do something like that in person because it starts as rumor's and lies. Than continues to grow and  grow. This information bother's me personally because I have stopped some of my friends from going to that certain point over what a old friend has said about them on the internet. 

This makes me realize that the next time I see or know someone that is getting Cyberbullying I will be an Upstander instead of being a bystander like I use to be.If I see anything like that online I will talk to the victim and the bully in a nice way and then to De-escalate the problem. 

Overall this week has been good and I couldn't ask for anything really besides the building finally being finished so we can move there before Christmas break and Thanksgiving break.

My topic is about how many workers use many different mobile devices at work or to do certain things for there specific job.

Many workers are using different and new technology for there job. Because it is a easy and quick way of doing things now a days. 66% of people use mobile devices or other electronics for doing work like presentations on and things like that. 12%  uses tablets at work, than 50% report that they only use desktops. 88% are those who use a desktop alone or alongside other devices.

This new information does not surprise me at all because many big companies are using high tech computers and things like that. I use my phone alot like anyone other teenager does so it just shows technology is sorta becoming a major thing in our world.

Many companies will probably start using computers & things for business resources and things like that if they already don't. Soon many people will be very familiar with things on mobile devices such as computers & tablets.

Weekly blog post

This are some new terms we learned this week, Self Disclosure, Reciprocate and Sexting. Now Self Disclosure means sharing private or sensitive information or others. Reciprocate means to give and to return.Sexting means sending or receiving sexual explicit photo's and or video's through text or another digital device or any sort. 

The new tool we have used this week was Make Believe Comix. This tool lets you make a cartoon about anything you want to do,using animation people of all sorta. Plus you can have little talk, thinking bubbles like they are talking to each other. It has all different features on it.MakeBeliefComix         

The positive thing about Make Believe Comix is that it is cool and fun to use for any subject or to simply have fun with. The negative is that you can only make four slides which could be a little hard if you want to make it longer or anything. to have more information in it. 

This week we learned about how many people sext there boyfriends & girlfriends. Also learned about how them doing that could and would ruin there life's in school and out of school. Sometimes it get so bad they think they have to kill themselves for the pain and hurt to go away.Than we learned about online relationships and how that  can either make or break your relationship by lies and untruthful things people say or post online.  

We also learned many people in the U.S die every year because they are Texting and Driving.People need to stop doing that Because good people die in the progress  

This new information is good to learn because many people kill themselves over things like sexting abuse of what they have sent to there boyfriends. Learning about the online relationship thing will make me thing twice some of the things I post online and the things I read that are online. 

This week has been good and sorta went by fast. Which is a good thing.

Weekly blog post

This week we learned about new things about how to evaluate websites and things.Some of the new terms we learned are Authority and Sources.Authority is where they get the information and who wrote it. Sources is sorta like Authority the difference between the two is that sources is what the website is about and the facts, and statistics documented.

Our new web 2.0 tool is mindmeister. This website allows you to make things like a spider web plot sorta of speak. You can add pictures and videos into anything you are doing whether it is for school or just to make random things with.

One positive thing about this new tool is that it is fun and cool to use for school projects and things.

One negative thing about the new web tool is you cannot change the background and it is sorta complex to understand.

Our digital literacy component this week is Evaluating websites and how to understand if the website is fake or have actual facts used in the website. A couple ways of noticing that is look through any pictures that the website has and also read any of the comments left by previous people that has been on the website.

This new information is a good thing to use for school things like using things for projects or research papers because you can find out if the information is factual or not. Also you can use it on daily things like Social networks to find out if things are true or not.


Overall this week has been good besides Friday when I got sick other than that this previous week has been good.

New technology for this week

My Article is about the company Barnes and Noble coming out with a new Nook table in the year to come.

With amazon in its sights,Barnes and Noble announces new nook tables.

The new nook tablets 

The company Barnes and Noble has come up with a newer version of the famous Nook Tablets.With HD settings and a bigger screen.It keeps it ahead of other kindles and tablets because it has bigger features  on it. It also weighs less than other tablets so it is better to carry around.
  
 I think this new Nook Tablets looks cool and it sounds like it has greater features than other Nook Tablets.It makes me want to go buy one just to see what is the big differences in it and the other new tablets.

Many people will be going out and buying them just like everything else that comes out new. The people that has bought the older tablets in the past will most likely buy this one to see if it  is like the one they have bought in recent years. Who knows it may be the next thing to take over computers.

Weekly blog Review

This week we learned some new terms like Reputation and Persist.Reputation is something you say or others say about you that can either make or break you in a negative or positive way. Persist means to continue on doing something or a thing continues for a long time.         

This week we learned a cool way to edit photo and pictures on a website.website link 

One positive thing about the new website tool is that it is fun and it lets you edit photos the way you like. One negative thing is that it is a little hard other than that I think it is a good tool to use.  

We also learned about digital drivers license which is a thing that helps you understand how to be better online and even offline. It helps you understand and make sure the things you once  was doing that you don't do again like bullying and or messing with people online.Digital Drivers License

 I think learning about this will help me in the future because I will think about the things I say about others,and things online that may hurt people. 

We learned about a 25 year old woman from Pennsylvania that lost her teaching career over a simple photo that stated the drunken pirate. One of the woman's friends took a picture of her drinking out of a cup at a party and the school she attended thought that she was drinking.     

Now they do not know that for a very fact so I think they wrongly accused her of something that was not really proven to be a fact. 

This makes me think about what I put on social networks because things like that could make or break my future like that woman that lost her teaching career. 

This week has been good and It also went by fast like always.  This week in forensic science we had to examine our hair like scientist in a group. I think that was really cool and fun to do. It was also a creative way to be hands on with things like that.

The popular website Groupon has came up with a new way for business owners to pay for things at there fingertips like bills, car payments and many other things people won't ever have to rush to go pay things like they use to do. 

I think this is a amazing new thing that they have come up with and it is so much easier than rushing to places every month like most people do.

4th week in intro to pub

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                This week we discovered a new web tool called Animoto which is a web base where you can make videos and share pictures and photos like another/YouTube.

       A good thing about Animoto is that it is fun and it has music and pictures on the website itself so you don't have to go searching all over the place looking for things.One negative thing I would say about it that it don't have school theme's so that makes it a little more diffcult to find things. Other than that animoto is a good site for anyone.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          This week we learned about Digital Citizenship and how to be respectful to people on social network. Also things like you need to be truthful online about yourself and don't lie about that. Do not post personal things about other people lives on social networks because that is just disrespectful and mean also it isn't no one business about other people lives.  One of the new words we learned with that is connecting culture which means be respectful to people online and don't be cyber bullying.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Learning about Digital Citizenship changed my way of thinking about what I say and do online because half the time I said random things but know after learning the different things about Digital Citizenship I will be more respectful to people.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Overall  this week been pretty good and sorta fun but I am drained from all the notes and studying for tests and things like that.

3rd week of Intro to publication

• This week we learned about the four different types of sentences for example phrase and appositive phrase which is sorta alike and than again its not because phrase is a part of speech and appositive phrase is a interrupting definition.                                                                                                                                                                                     

• We used some new things like RSS which is short for really simple syndication- format for delivering regularly changing web content. Also learned about Google reader which is a web-based aggregator, capable of reading atoms and RSS feed Google.com/Reader.                                                                                                                                                                              
• The good thing about Google Reader and RSS feed is that Google reader is like another Google email but you can subscribe to websites that you like and your friends to post on there posts they put weekly or however and rss feed makes it easier in a lot of ways but one thing i would say about Google reader is that it can also be very confusing.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
• We learned about Email Etiquette and the things we should and should not do when emailing somebody especially a important person for work or school like don't you use slag words or put all the words in cabs because it seems as if you are yelling at them which is very disrespectful.                                                                                                                                                             
• I will remember what to do and not to do when emailing people whether if it is for school or even talking to friends and it will help me when sending things to teachers so that I don't get a low grade on the assignment for making such simple mistakes that can and should be fixed.                 
• This week has been fairly good and I have learned a lot of new things which is good to me because it shows that I am learning somethings whether if I can remember them or not in the end.                                                                                                                                                     
• The new grammar we learned this week will be a little hard to remember it all but all it takes is a lot of studying and focusing on this things.All in all this week been really good
